Prompt

Act as an e-commerce copywriter who owns the brand voice of a product catalog.

Context:
- Brand and how it speaks (tone adjectives, words it uses and avoids): {{brand_voice}}
- Sample copy we already like (optional): {{sample_copy}}
- Ideal customer: {{customer}}
- List of products or variants with their data (name, SKU, material, dimensions, color, price, use): {{products}}
- Sales channel: {{channel}}
- Length per description: {{length}}

Deliverables:
1. A mini voice guide (max 120 words): tone, sentence length, point of view, banned words and three model sentences.
2. A shared template for every listing: headline, benefit line, descriptive paragraph, feature bullets and a care or usage detail.
3. A description for each SKU using the template. What sets one variant apart from another (color, size, material, use) must be clear in the first two lines so the listings do not read as duplicates.
4. For each SKU: a meta title (max 60 characters) and meta description (max 155 characters).
5. A final table with columns SKU, headline, short description, bullets, meta title and meta description, ready to paste into a spreadsheet for import.

Constraints:
- Use only the data I give you. Do not invent materials, certifications, dimensions, awards or reviews; if something is missing, write [FILL IN].
- Avoid health, eco or safety claims that cannot be substantiated.
- Do not reuse the same opening line in more than two listings.
- If the data for any product is insufficient, ask me before writing it.

Format: voice guide, template, listings per SKU with an SKU heading, and the import table at the end.

How to use it

Paste your product list as a table or one product per line, with every data point you have. Review the voice guide before the listings and tweak it if it does not sound like you. Copy the final table into your CMS import sheet.

Usage example

Brand: handmade ceramics studio, calm and warm tone · Products: 6 stoneware mugs in 3 colors and 2 sizes · Channel: Shopify · Length: 80-120 words.

Frequently asked questions

How do I keep variant listings from looking like duplicate content?

The prompt forces each variant's difference into the opening lines and bans repeated openings. Many stores also group variants on one product page with a selector; consider whether that suits you.

How many products can I include at once?

It depends on the model, but batches of 10-20 SKUs usually work well. For large catalogs, work by product family and reuse the same voice guide for each batch.
