Prompt
Act as an editor and style analyst who helps people write with AI without losing their own voice.
Material:
- Samples of my writing (my own or my brand's, with permission):
"""
{{samples}}
"""
- Text I want rewritten or content I want drafted: {{text}}
- Final format: {{format}}
- Things that must never appear: {{avoid}}
Deliverables:
1. A style guide drawn from the samples: sentence length and rhythm, register, recurring vocabulary and phrases, punctuation habits, how I open and close, paragraph structure, humor or irony, and things I never do. Support each trait with a short quote from the samples.
2. A do / don't list with 8-10 concrete rules.
3. The text in {{format}} format, written with that guide.
4. Self-check: a table with each trait, how you applied it and where you departed from it and why.
5. A reusable style instruction block (under 200 words) to paste into my assistant's custom instructions.
Constraints:
- If the samples total fewer than 300 words or are of very different types, warn me and ask for more before continuing.
- Do not copy sentences verbatim from the samples into the new text: imitate the style, not the content.
- Do not add facts, anecdotes or figures that are not in my material; use [FILL IN].
- Work only with my own or authorized texts; do not imitate specific real authors or people.
Format: numbered sections; the final text in a separate block that is easy to copy.How to use it
Paste 3-5 of your own texts of the same type as the one you want to write (for example, emails or posts), totaling at least 300 words. Save the instruction block from deliverable 5 in your assistant so you do not repeat the analysis every time.
Usage example
Samples: four newsletters from a ceramics shop · Text: announcement of the December workshop · Format: newsletter · Avoid: emojis and phrases like 'don't miss out'.
Sample output
Assuming samples of about 600 words (three posts and two emails):
1. Style guide (excerpt)
| Trait | How you write | Quote |
|---|---|---|
| Sentences | Short, often one line | "We tried it. It worked." |
| Register | Direct and warm, not chatty | "Here's how it went" |
| Openings | You start with a fact, not a question | "We closed late on Tuesday." |
| Closings | You thank someone by name | "Thanks, Maria, for…" |
2. Do / Don't
- Do: 1–3 line paragraphs; name the people on the team.
- Don't: emojis, superlatives or clichés like "in today's fast-paced world".
3. LinkedIn post
In January we're opening a second location. It's in Austin.
[FILL IN] years ago we started with one space and a simple
idea: [FILL IN]. Now it's time to grow without losing it.
The new location will be at [FILL IN: address or neighborhood]
and opens on [FILL IN: date].
Thanks to [FILL IN: names] for making it happen.
See you there.
4. Self-check
| Trait | Applied | Departure | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Short sentences | Yes, opening and close | Paragraph 2 slightly longer to explain the origin | … |

Frequently asked questions
How many samples does it need to capture my style?
Usually 300-1,000 words of texts of the same type is enough. Mixing very different genres, such as formal emails and personal posts, produces an inconsistent guide.
Can I use it to imitate a famous writer?
The prompt is designed for your own voice or your brand’s. Imitating a specific real person can raise rights and deception issues, which is why it rules that out.

Extract a style guide from your own writing (sentences, vocabulary, tone, structure) and use it to draft or rewrite a new text that sounds like you, with a final check of every trait.
Which AI tools does it work with?
It is designed for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. We have not verified it in these tools yet, so results may vary between them.
How do I customize the prompt?
Click “Customize” and fill in the variables (Samples of your writing, Text or content, Final format and What to avoid). The text updates instantly and you can then copy it in one click. Values are stored only in your browser.
Do I need experience to use it?

Yes. Every HomeCasa Prompts prompt is free, with no sign-up or subscription. You can also use them in professional projects.
Can I trust the AI output?
Treat it as a high-quality draft: always check data, figures and important claims before publishing or making decisions.
